i just used screws which were just slightly too big (without the thread they would fit) into the top of the heatsink. they tap themselves strongly, 1 screw was enough for me for a 40mm fan but 2 would be perfect, hope this helps :)

also adding small washers raises the fan off the heatsink and can help with cooling a bit (more airflow)

btw, fan blows ONTO the heatsink. :)
