How exactly does that work? The poles have to be even numbers. You only have north/south in multiples of 2 for a magnet. So for every north you have to have a south and vise versa. IE: a four pole motor goes north/south/north/south
If a motor were three pole it would go north/south/north and would stop turning after the second north. Are you sure you are not confusing poles with phases?
