Did you just put the ESC in and run it, or did you recalibrate the radio to the ESC? The MM simply might not be seeing the full throttle signal.

The MM is basically the same as a Quark 125B internally (as far as the number and type of FETs used), so the MM should be faster if anything since it can pass more current than a Quark80.

To get the max output from the MM, it should have 0 punch control and timing set to at least "normal".
