30 minutes of run time and 45mph is probably not realistic for race pace track running. I think you could achieve 40-45mph and 15-20 minutes or 30-35mph and maybe 30 minutes but that will probably be the limit and tough to reach at that. Dont get me wrong you could get your 30 minute run time if you just load the buggy up with battereis, but it wouldnt drive very well weighing 10 lbs. lol Anything more than 5s 5000mah or 4s 6000mah is going to be too big for a typical buggy setup. Even those packs are on the large/heavy side. Id recomend something more like the 4s 5000 or 5s 4350 size packs for lower weight.

What voltage are you planning to run. Do you have any other details that you can share like buggy make/model and special gearing consideration that needs to be accounted for or anything else that may play into your motor choice decision.

BTW: your friends 1512/1.5D on 4 is is very hard aon battereies and sped controller so make sure you tell him to gear it very conservative if he want a reliable setup. Not a setup i would recomend, but he can make it work fine if he is smart about it.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
