Losi will have much more problems with the 8ight-buggy .
My 8ight was delivered with a 16 tooth pinion but the manual at :
http://www.losi.com/ProdInfo/Files/1...otorManual.pdf recommends max. 13 tooth at 4s ! I tried it only for a very short time at 16/45 but my Kontronik Jazz 80 shut down because of overheating. At the moment I use a Novak 11 tooth pinion (this was the only fitting mod1 pinion here at the moment) at 4s (30mph) and 5s (38mph) which is enough speed for our small race track.
The stock 16 tooth pinion would be 55mph at 5s and 44mph at 4s I don´t think the motor can´t handle so much power ....
