I started with Novak, their HV setups are decent for noobs. Everything bolts up inplace of a EVX-2 and as long as you follow their gearing recomendations it's a sollid set up, even with some good NiMh they will kill the titans! Next up was a Feigao, and although it's more powerful I really think the Novak is higher quality, at least the motor anyways. Feigaos for the most part run hot because they are inefficient and use lower grade materials. The next motor I bought was a Medusa, very high quality and very powerful! I have the 36-50-4800, it's in a crt.5 and pushes that to 40+ on 2s without a problem. If cost is a concern but you want something decent Medusa is a great choice until the cc/neu motors prove themselves. Then came the Tekno Neu to replace my fried 8xl in my E-REVO. To be honest I was gonna go Medusa but there weren't any in stock anywhere at the time, I couldn't even get the 1515 1Y I wanted cause that was out of stock so I settled for the 2.5d (1700kv) to run 4s on. It honestly geared up well and was at about 150* after 20 minutes, not bad compared to 180+* in 5 minutes like the 8xl. Power is incredible and the Tekno Neus are designed for car/truck use, sealed cans, larger bearings, and a flat spot on the shaft. This motor really came to life when I brought it into the sweet spot on 6s, tons of power, insanely fast and temps where very low. I didn't temp it but I could hold my hand on the motor as long as I wanted. I would say that the Neu motors are top notch and there is reason for them to cost so much. If they lowered the prices everyone would want one, they'd have a 6 month waiting list for them or start machine winding them and quality would go down. Would I buy another one? Only if I had to get another motor right away and the Medusa's weren't available and neither where the CC/Neus. $260 is hard to swallow but as the case generally goes, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

I apologize for the long rambling post but it depicts my experience with many motors and compares the Neus to lower motors.
