I actually quite like that. No, the balance isn't quite perfect, but for what seems to be a stop-gap conversion until they build a dedicated machine, it doesn't look at all bad to me. I especially like the motor mount...that looks beefy. It needs some work in terms of batt placement/tray size, but they're getting there.
I have to admit that I don't get all this moaning about how companies have "stolen" Mike's motor mount design, though. Mike came up with the "hanging-off-the-diff" idea first, but it's simply the best and strongest way to mount a motor to the centre diff. Other manufacturers aren't going to go for an inferior design just because they want to be different. Surely it's just common sense!
Mike's design is great, and I think the fact that the major manufacturers are using similar designs is a testament to that. If they could come up with a better idea, they'd use it. But they can't.
