The higher the # of cells...4s, 5s, 6s, etc...the lower the kv motor you need. As stated above, a 2000kv Medusa will be good on 4s, but w/5s, go down on kv.

Either way, upgrade to a Medusa or a Neu motor...they are much better that the xl motors and much more efficient.
