Should I use the stock 2-speed, 1 speed spool, or center differential? I have a spare set of front/rear/center spider 8 diffs and I am considering using these. What do you think?

I will be out of town for a couple of weeks but will post many pics when I return.

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.
Greetings,

I have been searching the internet for anyone else converting the OFNA DM-1 Spec to brushless. I am planning to do the same this winter! Apparently the drive train is the same configuration as the Jammin' X1 buggy so immediately I thought of Novak's conversion kit. The problem I was wondering was the same as your question #1. What to use for a center diff?

I figured I would use a single-speed and did not know if there was a choice between a solid and a spool. I know OFNA manufactures a single-speed solid diff I believe they use in the Ultra GTP kit setup for dirt oval.

I would love to see pics of your conversion and will subscribe to this thread. I use a Neu 1512 2D and the MMM v3 in a Losi 8ight conversion but was thinking of using the Novak HV 4.5 in the DM-1 spec.

What are your thoughts on the battery tray? I am wondering if I will need to fabricate one or retro-fit the RCPD tray or use the Novak's somehow. The chassis is narrow on the DM-1 and would like to balance everything as best as possible. Cheers!
