As stated above, the CC motors have shorter coil area than the 50mm Medusa. The Medusa coils leave about 5-8mm on each end of the case, whereas the CC motors leave about 20mm on one end (room for the connection between the coil wires and the noodle wire) and 5-8mm on the other. So, the CC is kinda a "sub-S" motor.
Other differences:
Medusa = 4 pole, CC = 2 pole (as you said)
Medusa = slotted stator, CC = slotless stator
