This appears to be a 1 turn winding. I can't make out the termination since I can't see the other end of the motor. Judging by the way it comes together, it appears to be some sort of Delta.

If I'm correct on the kv of the pletty max with fan, it's 3000kv?

This confirms that it must be a 1 turn to get that high of a kv with the large 4 pole stator.

Definately hand wound. As each set of strands is inserted through the opening, they took the time to slip protective sleeves onto each set of wires.

Machines don't do that.

The configuration should be easy to duplicate, but I wonder what the possibilities are? I have to get ready for work now, but I'll research this tonight.

One possibility. Lower the kv and use a single larger strand of high temperature wire for maybe 2 turns. 2200kv being the target maybe?

Single strand, single turn with a wye termination maybe?

Hmmm...........what is the diameter and length of the stator magnets?
