I don't remember the gearing of my rustler when it was stock. and i can't check now because its in pieces, but i have ran mine on 3s and i had mine geared for good acceleration and top speed about 50mph I would say. But just start playing with gearing buy a couple gears and see what suits you, to get a little idea of what i was gearing for i checked the rustler vxl manual it has this page about gearing.
