The 1515 series of motors can be run in the 8ight (thats what i used to run) people just say that the 1512 is better suited for a buggy b/c it's smaller and lighter BUT either motor works esp, if you're just bashing....i'd say for racing get the 1512..for bashing and insane speed runs get the 1515...just remember that you're batteries have to be good esp. if you're gonna be bashing with 5s 5000mah's.....you can shoot for 60mph like dirtfreak but IMHO anything above 50-55mph is waaaay uncontrollable at least for me it is....and if you do gear for 60mph make sure you're batteries are capable of pulling that current...sooooo...for racing i'd go with the 1512...for bashing go for the 1515...for the best of both i'd say the 1515 (more gearing options)....and i'd shoot for 40-45mph for racing and 50mph+ for bashing....just use the gearing calculator in the above post :) hope this helps!
