Minimum of 50watt iron for doing larger wires/ plugs- closer to 60-80 watt would be ideal so you dont have to hold the iron in place, which just ends up heating the whole wire (through convection), rather than heating the spot you are soldering to in an instant to melt the solder. Hence, I dont like deans- bullet plugs ftw!
