Just get the Mamba Monster. It may be expensive, but its worth it. I had a hobbywing controller, but it was not reliable at all. Just do yourself a favor and get the Monster combo.

As for batteries, these would be great for a 4s setup, but they are currently out of stock. Zippy 5000mah 2s 20-30c-http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...0mAh_2S1P_20C_

I use these, they are great and run really well with the Monster combo.
