Gremlins, as in, it's a mass-produced, high-power electronic device. If you happen to get a defective one there's no sense in throwing a fit. The V3 is the "fixed" version. Unfortunately there is absolutely no way to tell what caused his to fail. I had a V2 fail on me a while back. I didn't bother starting another MMM pity thread about it because these things do not phase me anymore. I wish more people would realize how fragile these devices actually are.
