I lean towards the lower kv if i can, because as BrianG said it gives headroom for higher voltage, but also headroom if you miss the gearing. I have been running a neu 1515/2.5d/f (1600kv, i think) for a year with 20/51 and 5s lipo, I don't think i can get it hot even with a heating pad. I don't think it's even broke 110*F on any run

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
