From what you are saying Mike's 2500 (weird it says 2600 on the site now and I am sure I always saw 2500!! ) can take the amp draw of a 1/8th system. Now I was wondering if I could pull off a 10 minute run on a smallish track using the 5S 2500(2600?) pack on a 1900kv engine in a rather light buggy like the mp9 or 808.

The 5S packs come in at 314g (380g for the 6S). This is close to the motor weight alone! Finned Neu 1512 is 290g and Tekin's T8 4030 is 341g. Using that 5S could make balancing the buggy even easier right?

from our simple math of power consumption per minute in watts compared to the total watts of power the lipos contain we opted for the 6s because our math put us at 9-10 minutes on the 5s while the 6s put us at 11.5-12.5 and yes itll hit the cutoff right after 12mins the 5s would be cutting it extremely close and wouldnt garuntee the runtime needed, while the 6s leaves a perfect amount of room of "saftey". its the same size as a 3s5000 pack and with a 1700kv or lower the power-to-runtime-to-temperature setup is dead on.
