I cant really decide which route I want to go on the extra mounting holes... I was thinking just putting small peices of electrical tape over the holes, but that will kill a lot of heat transfer between the motor and plate. The button head/cap head screw idea I like, but dont know how secure it would be against the back of my traxxas 3mm motor plate (has the cnc'd cutouts on the back) the grub screw seems like the best option, maybe ill just locktite them in and pray they dont work themselves down in the motor!

I am thinking I like the silicone idea around the wires instead of just tape. I do plan to use tape on the bearing though.

I did want a motor clamp, but mike didnt have the XL's in (in either color) when I ordered, and was even out of the L size too.
