HOLY CRAP. The RX8 combo rules! So smooth.
After a month of building and waiting on parts, she is finally done. Gave it a shakedown after work (no track, just a gravel parking lot), and I "felt it move". After coming from the MT side of trucks my whole life, I must say a truggy is a whole different style of driving. I have driven a few of my buddies nitro tuggies at the track, but never felt comfortable driving someone else's vehicle. This Mugen is something else.

I purchased the Hotwire, and hunted down a PC (everyone I know are on Macs since we are all in the design profession), and dialed my timing back to 5. Upped my LVC to 3.2V per cell instead of the stock 3V (never be too cautious), and reversed my motor rotation. My brake strength was real strong first run, so I dialed it down on the ESC manually. The Hotwire is so simple and quick to customize, and manually on-site tuning is a piece of cake.

You can barely hear the truck. Sounds like a 1/10th scale stadium truck. All you hear is the wind over the body. Sounds like a jet!

Can't wait to see how it handles at the track.

Sorry for the rant.
I will get pics up tonight.

My set up:
Tekin RX8 2000kV combo
46x17 (geared for 39mph as per Brian G's speed calc)
Running on 4S

MBX6T: RX8 2000—sick!!!!
Campbell Buggy Rock Racer on 3S
4x4 Pede
1987 (Gen 1) Lunchbox
