Tire weights / size - 05.22.2009, 02:36 PM

Ok, since there seems to be some need for this, I figured that I would start my own thread to deal with this.

I will be listing weight in grams as that is what my scale reads in. I prefer tire height in inches... if only for ease of use with BG's speed calc.

In no particular order...

Proline wabash 40 series with 40 series crimes - 233.8

Team Losi 420 wheels / 40 series crimes - 294.5

Big Joe tires w/foams - 294.3

Proline 40 series commando beadlocks - 173.5

Losi Lst2 atx tires with 420 dish wheels - 432.90

40 series road rages with 1/2 offset wabash wheels - 293.0

Cen Genesis chevron style tires with chrome spoke wheels - 515.9

Cen Nemisis "bowties" on dish wheels - 428.9

Mt Badlands on hpi 0 offset wheels - 265.7

Mt badlands on generic dish wheels - 239.0

HPI Dirt Bonz tires on Savage SS chrome wheels - 215.0

Mtr Crimefighters (#1135) on proline 1/2 offset dish wheels - 247.9

Imex MT sized foams on 14mm wheels - 162.8

So you an see that there is quite a variation to the weights. So no wonder some peoples setups work cooler than others. Tire/wheel weight is one of the largest factors next to gearing for motor load.

I plan to measure diameter and width of the tires I have and add that data. I figure searching this thread with the ctrl-F function will be the best bet...

If any of the mods want to put this in any sort of order that will be fine with me!
