I know them personnally and both guys give raving reviews about driving both trucks. I think the issue between these 2 truggies becomes personnel preference and availability of parts. But also keep in mind that the RC8Te should be a better balance truck coming off the assembly line ready for electric where you'll have to convert the D8T(for now).

I plan on running the same style setup on the new truck that i run in the matrix.. Probably end up with a vertical motor mount, and dual battery trays placed forward- just behing the d8T steering servo...

Havent really heard anything about the d8- its still new to the market.
