For parts evailability, Traxxas is hard to beat. Every LHS I've ever been to has a lot more Traxxas parts than anything else. If you don't waiting for shipping, ordering parts online makes this argument moot.
If you want 2WD, and don't want to do much work to mod it, I'd probably go with a Rustler. If you don't mind the work, the jato works well and the tranny/diffs seem to be better designed than the Rustler.
But, it will be hard to beat a CRT.5 IMO. Most likely more expensive in the end, but the drivetrain is way more durable and it's 4WD.
