I do use the 46t plastic spurs, mostly on 1/8 buggies. I may try it on the muggy, currently using a wide rrp 49t spur with a 15t pinion on my muggy. Going to a 46t spur will require a 14t pinion, but I have some floating around somewhere.

I may give the smart diff a try. I looked up the parts needed to convert a hd losi cup to a smart diff and it works out to about 62 shipped, and a new complete smart diff is 90 bucks shipped. I may just buy a complete diff, not much difference on the price and it comes complete.
