Yeah, i didn't like the motor mount of the losi conversion at all. it kinda limits your gearing IMO. i did like the battery box, as it's huge and will take any battery i have. the radio /reciever box and center diff brace is really nice so i ended up getting the losi kit, scrapping the mount and getting the RCM.

here's my thread on my conversion:

the only thing that makes me leary on the tekno is i've heard that it also can be a pain to gear up because they use that opti clutch-bell system. (menaing they use the nitro clutchbells with the conversion) however, they can also use long bore 5mm pinions. but i haven't seen alot of those in large tooth pinions either.

rc-products makes a conversion, but imo, the battery tray looks a little small for me.

there is also a company in China that's now making conversions. they look ok, but i haven't heard any results about them yet.

if it were me, i'd get the losi conversion kit, sell the motor mount and get the RCM. you can gear that thing through the roof if you're ever into doing speed runs. I've got one of mine geared 43/25. i've yet to see another mount be able to do that.

Good luck.
