Thanks. I thought of putting spacers behind the plate... but as you can see, it's not going to really give me all that much more. But maybe enuff to get a better bite on the shaft. I don't really want to get too deeply involved with this truck, cuz I'm not sure it's going to be something I'm going to want to keep. Just not sure. It seems like it's going to take a lot of time and experimenting (and fabbing up stuff), to be right. I'm kinda picky, so I don't know if I have it in me to put the time in. I'm getting ready to build an XXL BL Conversion so that is where my time will go for now. I was hoping for a quick fix for the Ejato, and this might work.

Oh, and does that circular plastic part that's part of the Tranny moulding have anything to do with holding the motor plate on? Or does it really not do anything? I was thinking that since the motor plate fits around it, that is definitely helps hold the motor plate steady.

And then of course, figuring out just where to place the battery, RX, ESC, etc is the next step I guess.

If I lock the tranny into 2nd gear, I can ditch the braking servo. I did some research on how to do that, and it seemed like a little more work then I was ready to take on comfortably. I could buy a single speed conversion just as easily too. Heck, I've even got a New Era THREE speed conversion if I wanted, but I hear that it doesn't give you much. I'd put that in my Nitro Jato if anything.
