It would probably be worth getting a battery box made that is custom made to fit your battery, you'll have no issues with it sliding then, won't have to use velcro on the bottom, and can make do with two straps.

Mike (RC-Monster) does custom trays, and you can specify to have a compartment on the back for an ESC, like the Losi battery box you already have.
