The battery tray is 175mm long (might stretch to 178mm - that is absolute maximum though!). Width is 46mm and you can have practically any height due to the bodyshell design.
Spur is a 40T, and you could fit probably up to a 44/46T in there - main problem though is that it uses very small diff cases (short ones), you'd be hard pressed to fit a bigger one in there - it also uses small outdrive bearings.

It will fit, considering my previous measurements. Looks like you'll have to mount it with 42.5mm side face down, and have it 47.5mm tall. It won't have any fitting issues, due to the body design.
