I just use the yellow butt connectors: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2103512

Take the yellow sheathing off and tin them so there's solder on them. You may have to spread them open a tad (they are split down the middle) to fit the wire. Once done, heatshrink the whole connection and you're good to go.
