I like the 1717 motor. Looks like a good 1521 1y substitute. I really like the 1521 for the larger 1/8 scale stuff, so I have a feeling I will be snagging some of the 1717 motors when I get a chance.

The big motor looks really good for a 5th scale conversion, or maybe a pair in a large 60+" cat...
