From what I've seen, many people have issues with the rpm sensors- no real solutions, just have to keep tweaking it (sensor distance etc) until it starts working, or just dont use it. The purpose of the eagletree is primarily to check how much current your setup pulls, and to see how good your batts are- rpm readings seems like a novalty to me personally...
