I snapped a shaft off an old style 4600 just recently. been running castles motors for years, & that was a newy for me. Luckily i had a spare rotor from an old 5700. Dunno how i snapped it, i even checked my spur to see if any teeth were missing, & yeah the spur was perfect.
Lincpimp - they're probably still 2-pole & i can tell you that without even opening it up. Cost for the new ones is still the same as the older ones. But yeah i really love the new design of the CM36 motors. You can actually get into them now without having to hack away at that epoxy stuff, & the screws wont snap while tightening/loosening either!
Also notice how the endbell is fully enclosed, not like the older style where the bearing had an opening but was covered by the sticker...
