contra to popular belief.
i dont believe the standard 3905 tranny needs beefing up.

you see...
the E-revo tranny mount is 3mm thick ally, this has a spacer that spaces the motor a further 20mm away from the motor plate.
the motor weights a LOT!!
mechanican advantage must be massive and hence the playe bends a little on hard landing, the extra torque put on the gears during a landing combined with the flexing of the motor plate bends the spur/pinion out of mesh and therefore strips.

ON THE OTHER HAND!
my setup, same as the old BL-emaxx setups people used to do has the motor mounted high on top of the tranny.
this is rubbish for COG i could imagine BUT there is a flip side to this.
the motor (castle neu 2200) only has about 2mm to bend down before it hits the tranny.
upon hard landing, the motor only moves down a very little way, the mesh stays in close contact and the tranny plate is able to flex back into it's original position.

make sence?
due to this theory, i have over 40 hours of use on my first and only spur gear i have ever used in my revo convert!!, ye-ol 65t still looks in great shape and i have no intent on changing it any time soon

E-revo 3.3 conversion, 249kv outrunner, 6s, MMM
the porthole from the noob world an here has been opened!! that's how i got in.
