So, are u saying that the old doors are still functional if u shld decide to use them again? And are those RCM straps? Pretty clever way of mounting those straps too! Is the velcro is strong enuff to keep the batteries in place on big jumps? I'm sure it is. Since the pack is secured and can't slide back and forth, I'm sure it works great!

FYI....The Turnigy 3s 5000 30c's I just got BARELY fit in my chassis. I think its more about the 8awg wire they use, and the angle in which they exit the packs. And to anyone who's wondering... The packs ROCK!!! They make my FP 25c 5000's seem dead by comparison!

The Turnigy 2s 5000 40c packs I'm running in my Summit barely fit too. I tht about hot gluing some straps to the chassis in a different way, But I can just barely get the doors closed, so that will do for now.

Great job man!!
Thanks JPOPCRACK,
Nah, the battery doors are beyond return, They are so cheap they are non issue if I decide to go back with different batterys. Which is something I will NOT DO, 5s in the Revo is perfect.

The Battery retainment straps are a simple design I came up with. The velcro was dirt cheap as were the buckles.Total investment for 5yrds of velcro and 12 buckles was $9.00 . The little aluminum pieces/washers were hand made .
See pictures from post #20 to see how much of the doors are retained.

I'm feeling ya on how the batterys fit, these 3300 5s packs couldn't be another MM bigger in height, I have to push them in with a little authority to squeeze them in.

No , Only the BB Revo and the Maroon LST2 are mine in those recent videos. In the other video's of a LST2 on 5s is mine also. It has White rimmed giant CEN wheels.

No worrys about dirt, as long as the fan blades don't jam. I clean out the ESC's gently with compressed air.
The NEU motors I have are sealed for the most part, rolling around and filling the chassis with dirt is non issue far as I'm concerned. I usually dab a lil' shoe goo around the wires and plug exposed 3mm mount holes and there good to go.

Get a RCS cage, you'll have no regrets.
I'm gonna get another for my 2nd EREVO when it's done.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
