Since the MMM hasn't even been out for 2 years there is obviously no long term testing. I did this but I will keep the esc in my Maxx which will never be geared for insane speeds. I'm sure that doing this and pushing a lot of current through it will cause problems. However keep in mind, the heat sink is not coated and my fan still works even though I have yet to get it to come on. Also these esc are thermally protected, if it gets to hot it will shut down. Since I never plan on gearing for more than 35MPH I doubt I will ever have a problem that is related to the waterproofing. My gearing right now is 68/25 with a 36-70-1600 Medusa on 4s, waiting on a 20t pinion that will be here this week which will put me at about the same speed as stock just with a lot more torque and runtime. So far I have put about 3-4 hours on the esc since coating it with liquid tape. Also this wasn't a brand new esc and I'm sure by the time anything does happen to it it will be out of warranty and I'd have to pay the $70 anyways. Either way I don't really care, I wanted something with programability, lvc, reliability, and low maintenence in my E-Maxx, and this way I won't be worrying when I'm playing in the snow or hit a puddle or waterhole! I will update if I ever have a problem though
