before you get a new driver try this
Unplug the ethernet cable
control panel
device manager
right click on your ethernet card or controller
properties...
TCP/IP settings......
Use other IP address....
uninstall the antivirus security NDIS (Antivirus) mini filter if you have one...
restart
plug cable back in
