I may have to bud in and disagree with the brakes and "lurching" that you state these systems do. I own two 150amp XeRun from Kershaw designs and a 80amp Ezrun from nitrorcx.com. All three have smooth acceleration and great braking performance. I have been running the 150 with a 2075 kershaw motor geared 16/48 on a tekno 8ight indoor on a carpet track and I can smooth finger it down the straight to a smooth break at the end of the straight into the hard right all day. It has plenty of adjustability as well, I can't find anything to complain about it yet. As a disclaimer I also own a MMM and 2650 on a Caster Fusion and the performance difference in my opinion is not too different, or at least not enough to make a noticeable difference.
