Too much power -
03.24.2010, 09:53 PM
We the people have allowed our Gov to gain too much power resulting in exactly this. Healthcare is a business trying to make money plain and simple. The root of the problem in all of this is the greedy doctors, and greedy insurance companies who are both in bed with our Gov. The insurance business started out as a way for people to put money into a pot, which would pay for large healthcare issues that the average person just could not pay for themselves out of pocket.
Over time the people running the insurance companies realized that they could become filthy rich if they just skimmed off the top of the premiums and stashed it away for their own retirement. Then things really began to get interesting, because those CEO's got greedy and wanted more, & more, & more driving insurance costs higher and higher. On top of that you have the doctors who also wanted to get rich, plus fighting off these morons suing them for the stupidest problems, which our legal system allowed. Too many of these professionals are looking for any way they can to steal our hard earned $$$$$ in ways to make them millionaires.
The only way to fix this problem is to regulate the insurance companies in some way to limit how much they profit from our illnesses. Put a stop to the frivalous law sutes, and create a doctors pay scale that all of them have to abide by. None of these professions were setup to make anyone rich, and from a personal view they are all a sort of public servant who are supposed to be here to help all of us stay healthy, not become millionaires. Greedy, greedy, greedy. They should all be ashamed of themselves.
We all know that when our Gov gets involved in anything it never ever drives the costs down, it only drives them higher because the private business entity figures ways to rip off the Gov so they can get rich off the federal Gov and not feel bad about doing so. Example $1000 hammers, $600 bed pans, $3000 toilet seats. I truly believe that Obama wants to find a solution, but he is being lead around by the nose by all of the already crooked politicians in our Gov system.
