Also, the upright motor-mount will be cross-braced to the chassis. In one of the pics in the first post you can see the hole in the motor-mount.

The x-braces alone have some flex, but with the lower plate it is pretty rigid, IMHO. But you are right, extra support wont hurt.

Still a concern might be the area where I had to modify the x-braces to make room for the spur.... maybe I'll brace this too.

Just something i noticed with mine that i thought i would pass along.

I have always had a thing for low profile cars( comes from my slotcar days) I also have an HPI pro3 touring car for that reason. I love a design where you can put most of the weight at or near the centerline of the wheels

and yes the motor looks right sitting there

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
