Very nice build thread. The more pictures, the better.
I can see why you have that extra wire on the ESC for series connection, but you can simply connect the batteries in series without that extra wire (since they're bullet connectors). Connect one red to black on each battery, then plug one red and one black from the batteries to the ESC. Pictured below:
Unless you had another reason why you installed that extra wire there?
