Due to several things I ended up buying a tekno kit for the MBX-6, I may add mikes mount and a slipperential later. And to have a little more power to move this thing I bought a tekin 1400kv motor to go with my MMPro with novak cap and constant fan mod. On flightpower 6s 3ah 30C pack it should be fater than the tekno 8ight with 30-36-1600kv on 5-6s.
I got the motor and tekno kit today, nice to see the new three-alu-shoe, one piece clutch adapter with three spring sets to tune your engagement time. I stretched the spring on the two-carbon-shoe clutch I got with the 8ight's kit for a quick action. Also the MBX-6 kit also has a longer batt tray, which I find nice for more options on what batteries to buy.
I am lucky to have found a dirt cheap dx3.0 to provide the much needed mixing of channel two and three, not found in the dx3s. I used an y'cable to make due first in the 8ight, but I couldn't change the direction of the brake servo, thus my brake linkage is "creative". Not this time.
So, on to the build. Sorry no camera, and I am going to finish test drive one before I sleep, so only finished pics I regret to say.
I just love planning, then building, converting, restoring used cars, setting up new cars, and then actually having the work pay off when you find yourself driving a new unique and perfect car.
