I like running the GTP in a straight line. Takes a bit getting use too with the solid center diff. I can't launch at WOT, but have to ease into it. Saves ring gears that way too. I did get the hardend ring gears for mine. The stock ones didn't last long. Don't need crazy torque either so a 1512 or 2 pole motor is sufficient for my setup. My 2 pole motor has plenty of topend where it counts. My buddy is running my old 1515 2700kv motor in his GTP and loves it. He has plenty of ring gears at hand though.
