One good thing about brushed motors- As long as the voltage isn't too high they are already "waterproof".  Just need to make sure and clean/dry them out after every run and they'll be fine. Mudproof is a different story, as the sand getting in the wrong place can (and will over time) ruin the commutator/brushes in the motor.
Still, "standard" 550 motors are pretty cheap, so if they last a season then  .

i like the idea of the 5 Pole makes for smooth low speed runing and smooth acceleration .
but only 620KV (rpm/volt) is like 4.464 rpm that looks like a 24v motor
i would crawl at 7.2v lol
i only use 7.2v to 8.4v my motor is rated @ 28,100 RPM (9,400 RPM under load). @ 8.4v and 27amps stall current
i need to get away from NiMH Thay are way to heavy over 7 cells.
im going to change over to Lipo 30c to 40c at less than half the weight.
i tryed a 20c but it dont have the puntch but is better on hills and rock piles with less weight.
