I cannot even get to the point of programming it. I get the beeping only.

There is a radio signal. The servos work just fine.

I wonder if my radio's 70/30 design has anything to do with it. Most of the newer ones are 70/30, and some of the old ESCs required it to be 50/50, which the MX3 does not have.

Tomorrow, I'm going to try to get it into programming mode with my airplane transmitter. I may be able to select car mode then. Who knows.

My cell count is 12. The ESC can handle 6-16. It runs just fine using my Hacker Master Comp ESC, so I know the motor is fine.

In fact, I used the truck Sunday. I only upgraded to the MGM because, although the Hacker specs state 12 cells, I know it only runs safely up to 8 cells. I got sick of the thermals.

I sent an email to MGM. I'm sure there is something simple about it. I have experience with numerous brushless setups, from the old Lehner Warrior 9910 to all of my Castles and Hackers for my planes, and at least two Master Comps, and this is the first time that I've had problems.
