I probably should have updated this earlier . Anyway got a new ESC back within the month. That is counting travel time in both direction so that can't be bad at all considering I am on the other end of the world.

ESC is new stock and pretty happy with that. However I am having a slight issue with the BEC it seems. I pretty much run ACE1015 or XP1015 (same thing really) servos on most of my buggies and truggies. I have swapped a few around just to eliminate the servo as the potential problem but it really sems to be the BEC. If I flick the servo quickly from left to right or have the car on the ground with the suspension fully bottomed out I get huge voltage drops in the BEC output. So much so that my Spektrum Rx will brown out and take couple of seconds to reset.

I really can't be stuffed sending it back to Castle but instead I just fitted one of their external BECs and everything seems rock solid. I wish that Castle would make the MMM without the BEC and with soldering posts instead wires coming from the boards or the plugs. Maybe they could call it the MMM Pro. I think it would appeal to the more hardcore guys. A lot of us that use this ESC are running them in pretty big trucks and the servos needed in them are pretty hungry so external BEC would be the way to go anyways. Secondly lot us are doing pretty custom installs/conversions. Having a choice how we route the wires would be great.
