I think it has to do with that and that the pinion isn't quite parallel with the spur because the bracket I bought was not quite 90 degrees. I think the whole thing moves slightly whenever I hit something or take a jump. Probably bends the mount some too. I need some machined aluminum or steel. The stupid pinion always comes loose and slides down the shaft too. I was just going to buy a 40t steel Integy spur and the Integy mount, though I know their molded aluminum isn't worth much. I think I'd probably have to put spacers on that mount too because it won't put the motor close enough to the spur.

I've seen other clones on eBay for about $50. I can't seem to find anything decent for that price tho. That's the problem with Mike's quality mount; nobody ever sells it -.-
