You are going to receive all kinds of advice in here from people who are racing at many different tracks and also playing at all levels of bashing. It sounds to me like you are really wanting to get involved with the R/C social scene in your local area. My advice to you would be to hang out with some of your local R/C'rs there and see what is popular at your local track. If you want to be part of that crowd then you want to have a vehicle that will fit into that realm. If they are all racing Revo's and you bring in a Savage, then you are going to have a problem. See what all of them are using and then base your decision on that information. Otherwise you are going to be an outsider not allowed to be a part of that click. Unless of course your intention is to show up with something totally different and just want to out run them all together. But from your first post that is not your intention at all. There are so may choices out there that you will end up with easily a dozen suggetions from almost any forum including this one, that could leave you even more confused. We have read many times about people who have picked up this great new R/C toy, but can not race at their local track because there is not a class for that particular vehicle. Just my 2 cents.
