Although my mind is conjuring up something with quite a bit of adjustability that might just work in most if not all. Too hard to explain, gonna have to get it on paper. I think it might end up a tad expensive to machine though

your over-thinking this... most .21\.28\etc motors use the same height/size/etc of mounting hoels. Get a motor to attach to those and your golden.
