Redcat has really been stepping up, they are on v3 of the rampage and one of the main things that has been upgraded is plastic strength.

I noticed the extreme difference plastic can make with the "rovan" 5b I bought. The steering arms cracked and the spur literally had chunks fly off it. I switched to hpi parts and have no more problems.

They probably do come from the same factory, but spec'd differently for redcat and hobbyking. That's where hobbyking gets the low price.

Just like hpi's alphastar 2350. It's the same motor as a castle 1415 2400, made in the same factory but with lower spec'd magnets and laminations.

The hobbyking motorcycle (duratrax dtx450 clone) is notorious for cheap metal and plastics. The fix? Duratrax parts...
