The theory sounds logical and promising. Almost
obvious in retrospect. Article states it may be in production by year end. Good news if true, but the cynic in me thinks this will be another tech innovation that will silently be bought out never to be seen again - or for at least 5-10 years.
Not sure how I feel about charging 1000x faster though; I can't imagine replacing a 5v 2A phone/tablet charger with a 5v 2,000A charger - that might be just a tad beyond USB connection spec. Time to hook up some #OO wires to your phone!
